Chapter 4: Gomu Gomu Fruit

Author’s Notes:

Coming soon: Luffy and Usopp encounter a foe verrrry familiar to OP fans.

Coming not as soon: New crewmates! Familiar faces and maybe some not-so-familiar ones.

Coming quite a ways away: CROSSOVERS! With who, though? You’ll just have to wait…

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

“Okay, so there we were, alright? I’m telling you, this shark was huge! And Luffy was all ‘Oh, brave Captain Usopp-Sama! Stop him for me, because I can’t swim!’” Young Usopp said, holding his arms out and rocking back and forth on the stool he was sitting on.

“Really? Is this true, Luffy?” Shanks asked him, amused.

“Not a chance! I’m Monkey D. Luffy! I’m not gonna back down from some stupid shark, no matter how big it is!” Luffy punched the air. “Besides, I’ve been trainin’! I’m super-strong now!” To prove his strength, he began fighting invisible foes until Makino emerged from the back room.

“Luffy! Calm down! You’re going to break something again…” She sighed. “I’m sorry about that, Shanks.”

Shanks laughed heartily. “No need to apologize, Makino-Chan. My, you’re looking wonderful today.” He commented.

“Aww, you flatter me.” She said playfully.

“What, I can’t compliment you?” Shanks asked innocently

Makino giggled. “Shanks, you’ve told me I look wonderful every time you enter this bar.”

Shanks scratched his head. “I have? Well, I guess if I keep saying it, it must be true.”

Usopp and Luffy both noticed that Shanks and Makino weren’t paying attention to them anymore, so they focused back on the food Shanks had brought back from his trip.

Shanks and his crew had been living on Syrup Island for about a year now. Luffy and Usopp always waited impatiently for their return when they went on long trips. They had gotten into the habit of announcing the Red Hair Pirates’ return by running through the streets of the village, yelling “PIRATES!”

“Oi, Luffy. Check out this weird fruit.” Usopp whispered, holding up what appeared to be a purple cantaloupe. “Smells kinda funny.”

“Ah, I don’t like fruit that much.” Luffy whispered back. He resumed eating his steak.

A brilliant idea formed in Usopp’s head. “Give ya 20 Belli if you eat it.” He said slyly.

“Aw, come on. Leave me alone, Usopp.” Luffy groaned.

Usopp shrugged. “Okay, then. I guess you aren’t as brave as I thought you were. Won’t even eat a mystery fruit.”

Luffy whipped back and glared at Usopp. He grabbed the fruit out of his hand. “Gimme that! I’m Monkey D. Luffy, and I’m the bravest person on this island!” He ate the entire thing in one bite, and made a disgusted face. “That fruit was disgusting!” He yelled. Usopp laughed.

The entire bar fell silent.

Eerily silent.

“Lu…ff…y…” Shanks slowly turned to face the two kids. “What… fruit?” He asked, a worried look on his face.

“Um, um, um, it was this purple one! It tasted terrible!” Luffy blurted out, terrified.

“WHAAAAAAT?” Shanks yelled. “LUFFY! YOU JUST ATE A DEVIL’S FRUIT!”

Usopp nearly passed out. “Devil’s Fruit? Is it poisonous? Is Luffy going to die?” He cried.

Shanks ran his fingers through his hair. “No, it’s not poisonous, but it IS dangerous! Devil’s Fruits are cursed! They give whoever eats them special powers, but…” He paused, looking very serious.

“BUT WHAT?” Usopp yelled.

“They’ll never swim again.” Shanks finished.

Usopp fell out of his chair.

Luffy seemed uninterested. “Oh, is that all? I can’t swim anyway. No big deal.”

Shanks fell out of his chair.

“IT IS A BIG DEAL!” Shanks yelled. “DON’T YOU CARE?”

“What power did I get?” Luffy asked.

Shanks was dumbfounded. Wow. This kid really lets nothing bother him. He thought. “It, uh, it was the Gomu Gomu fruit. It means your whole body is now made of rubber.” He explained.

Luffy’s eyes widened. “REEEEAAALLLYY!” He yelled excitedly. To test it out, he began pulling on his fingers. To his and everyone else’s amazement, they began stretching! “WOW! SO COOL!”

The pirates, who had up until now been scared silent, snickered and burst into uproarious laughter.

“That’s our Luffy! Fearless to the core!” Lucky Roux cheered.

Luffy continued exploring his newfound powers, pulling on his cheeks and bending his fingers backwards until they touched the back of his hand, causing the pirates to laugh harder.

“Lu-Lu-Luffy!” Usopp suddenly spoke up. “We gotta go! Mom’s gonna freak out when she finds out what happened!” He grabbed the back of Luffy’s shirt and pulled him off the stool.

“Aw, Mom’s not gonna care.” Luffy moaned.

Suddenly, an older man came bursting through the door of the bar. “PIRATES! PIRATES HAVE LANDED!” He yelled, panicky.

The entire bar fell silent again. However, this was more out of confusion than fear.

“Um, yes, Charlie. We know. They’ve been here for quite some time.” Makino said, gesturing to the Red Hair pirates in the bar.

Charlie shook his head frantically. “No, a different pirate crew! Their flag has a bear skull on it!”

Makino gasped. “Shanks, do you know-”

Shanks became very serious. “No, I don’t.” He looked at Charlie. “Go tell everyone to remain calm. Don’t provoke them into fighting against the pirates.”

Charlie nodded and ran off to warn the villagers. Minutes later, the bar door exploded off its hinges. Usopp pulled Luffy behind the bar’s counter and prevented him from doing something stupid.

In the doorway was a fearsome, tall man. He grinned wickedly and laughed.

“Get me a drink, lady.” He said.

Author’s Notes: Just for the record, this isn’t the familiar foe I mentioned earlier. Three guesses as to who it is, though. The first two don’t count.

Insanity to Kidnap

Chapter 6: Atomic

Writen By: YellowUchiha

Kisame put the tiny girl on the bed. He then watched her curl up into a tiny ball as she continued crying. She looked…pathetic. Kisame walked over to the door and slide down on the ground. He let out a sigh. Of course he was stuck with babysitting. The girl continued to let out whimpers and little squeals of pain.

This was going to get annoying really fast. He heard her sniffle and let out a choppy breath. “What’s wrong, shorty?” he asked, maybe if he talked to her she would shut up.

She didn’t respond to him instead she drew in a breath as he heard more whimpers and tears. Did she not hear him? “Are you okay, shorty?” he asked again.

She looked over at him, and he saw the tears that glistened down her face. It made her soft brown eyes more deep, and her cheeks had a red tinge on them. He had to admit the girl was adorable even when she was upset….still pathetic though.

“I-I’m just f-fine. I-I mean my finger’s not broken or anything,” she choked out sarcastically.

That caused Kisame to laugh. He never had seen a person combine tears and sarcasm before. He stood up with a smirk, “I can fix it.” He walked over to the bed.

She quickly squirmed to the other end, “N-no, don’t touch it. I don’t want Sam’s fucked up imagination anywhere near me.”

Kisame tilted his head to the side, “What are you talking about, shorty?”

“You guys are all from some show Sam watches….only she would want to meet some sick mental paths,” she pouted as a tear slid down her face. Kisame just smirked and sat next to her.

“We’re not all mental paths,” he said.

The little girl just sat quiet wiping away her tears with her hand that wasn’t broken. Kisame could heal her finger if the girl would let himr. “Well who would you have liked to have met?” he asked

He noticed her brown eyes gloss over in thought, “Well, someone who didn’t enjoy causing pain would be nice.”

Kisame smirked at her remark, “Have I caused you any pain now, shorty? So guess u would want to meet me then.”

Her brown eyes seemed to roll back into her head before she said, “Chyeah, well you sure know how to choose your friends.”

He reached out and grabbed her hand lightly in his. She didn’t really seem to notice, as her stare seemed glued to the wall. Kisame pondered her comment then said, “There not really friends…more like coworkers. I mean people don’t judge you by who you work with do they?”

She gave him a you-got-to-be-kidding-me look making Kisame laugh as she said, “I work with teenage counselors.”

His big finger began to glow green as it traced along her tiny one. He moved the bone slightly as he asked, “Counseling? You look a little too young to be counseling anyone. No offense, shorty.”

She rolled her eyes again at his little nickname for her then answered, “Camp counselors. Our job is to keep kids safe and healthy. And I’m in school to be a teacher. So I’m sorry if I don’t quite understand people whose jobs are to harm.”

Kisame just smirked. A teacher huh? This kid was definitely surrounded by the wrong type of people. He wondered to himself how much longer she would be able to deal with it here. He then looked at her as the last of his chakra finished healing the bone, “Heh I only harm people who are about to kill me…besides maybe you should look at your finger cause I healed that right up.”

He watched her as she looked down at her hand. Her eyes widen for just a moment before she looked at him impassively, “Yeah, well…” she let out a sigh, “Thanks.”

He smirked, “You’re welcome, shorty.” He ruffled his hand in her blond hair like a father does to their child. She gave him a look of irritation as he stood up and walked back to the door.

“I do have a name,” she said to him as he sat back on the floor. He put an elbow on his knee as he cradled his face in his hand.

“I know,” he answered.

“It’s not shorty,” she said back.

He smirked, “I know, but it fits you.”

She rolled her eyes as she folded her arms across her chest, “I can see you are creative.”

He just laughed at her childish sarcasm, “I’m glad you agree, shorty.”

She frowned, “You know I will just call you blue then.”

Kisame shrugged, “You can call me whatever your heart desires.”

She gave him a confused look then turned away and looked up at the ceiling. Kisame smiled to himself, and closed his eyes. The girl was definitely too sweet for all this, but at least she was quiet now. Maybe, he could catch a nap.

“Blue?” he heard the girl ask.

He opened an eye looking at her, “Hmm?”

“You…seem nicer then the rest,” she said softly.

He smirked to himself. If only she knew he was the more vicious when it came to fighting. “You don’t know me well enough, shorty,” he answered closing his eyes again.

She didn’t say anything back. She just let out a sigh, and curled up into that little ball of hers. Kisame was actually surprisingly disappointed. For some reason, he liked hearing the girl talk. He shook it out of his head. He wanted quiet, and now he had it. Now time for a nap.

“So tell us about this country,” Itachi ordered sitting across from her.

Sam looked at him frustrated with herself, and with everything. “Can’t you be a bit more specific…or am I just suppose to guess,” she knew her tone had irritation sewn through it, but all the questions had been broad. She felt like she was explaining to a 2 year old how babies were made.

“Tobi thought Sammy-chan was good at guessing,” Madara said in a cheery voice as he twirled a cookie around his finger.

She glared at him. Sarcastic bastard. Itachi let out a sigh, “Just tell us what you think is important. We know nothing of this place so any information will be helpful.”

She let out a sigh. She didn’t know really where to start. “The country you are in now is called the United States. Compared to some countries, it is young, yet one of the strongest. Some even consider it the ‘super power’ of the world.”

“What do you mean super power?” Itachi asked.

“Basically the United States has enough military and economic strength to drastically affect any other country in the world,” she said. Madara had gotten really quiet obviously listening to her words.

“The United States is ran by a democratic government organized through checks and balances. Each person in a position of power is elected into that position by the citizens of the United States. There are three branches within our government: the legislative, the executive, and the judicial. Each branch prevents the other from gaining too much power, which keeps the government in a somewhat vulnerable state. Depending which party has more control in the government determines how strong the government actually is,” she stated basically repeating the basics to civics.

“Parties? They throw parties. Tobi wants to go,” Madara said throwing his arms up in the air.

She knew that was his own way of asking what she meant by parties, but did he have to act so retarded. She had thought she would like his Tobi alias…but in truth she found it annoying…maybe just because she knew every word out of the alias was really an insult. “No, by parties I mean a group of people who believe in the same type of issues…I guess you could call the Akatsuki a party because they want a government that has complete control over the people through fear…here, the Akatsuki would probably be considered fascist,” she said.

“What’s a fascist?” Itachi asked.

Sam groaned in irritation. This was going to take forever. She put her face in her hands as she leaned over the table. Could they really expect her to explain everything?

“Tobi wants to know about the military. Are they as strong as the three tails?” he said in a somewhat scared voice.

“Of course Tobi wants to know about the military,” she glared at him as Itachi gave her a knowing glance.

“Go on,” Itachi stated.

“This world contains weapons you have never imagined. I give you credit that people in your world have incredible powers, but here any average person can have that power by obtaining a weapon. The United States military does not have the largest man fighting force, but it does have the largest amount of weapons in the world. Supposedly, if I remember the quote correctly, the US has the ability to destroy the world a hundred times over.”

Both men were silent

Even Madara had stop moving and just stared at her. She looked at him. Damn. He couldn’t be thinking. She shook her head immediately, “Don’t even go there. These weapons are more powerful then the Kyuubi, and there would be no way to get them back to your world. Even if they were in your world, you would have nothing to rule.”

“Who said anything about ruling. I want utter destruction, first,” Madara whispered to her so only she heard.

She looked at Madara shock, “No! You don’t want this destruction! You know how Deidara has the power to make things explode,” Deidara turned from the TV when he heard his name, “well this weapon is ten times larger any explosion. And after it has gone off, there is radioactivity for years after wards. It’s a nuclear bomb. It literally separates an atom!”

“Sounds cool yeah,” Deidara said with a smirk. Sam kept her eyes focused on Madara. Damn. He totally wanted to steal it. She shouldn’t have described it that way.

“I mean it hardly compares to your guy’s strong abilities. You have no use for it,” she said quickly.

“Tobi thinks Sam is lying,” Madara stated.

Itachi just stared at her. He must be a bit worried that the weapon would get in their hands. She knew he still cared about his village. He wouldn’t help them obtain the bomb…would he?

“It’s a pointless weapon if we can’t get back,” Itachi stated.

Sam let out a sigh. Thank goodness, Itachi was somewhat good. “Tobi thinks we should still get it,” Madara said.

“I agree, yeah,” Deidara said with a cocky smile.

Sam bit her lip. She didn’t want to be responsible for killing millions of people. “Where is it, Sammy-chan?” Tobi asked.

Sam looked worried, but she told the truth, “I don’t know. The military keeps it classified.”

Itachi glanced at Madara obviously not liking where this is going, but still asked her, “Where would the information be?”

“The Pentagon,” she whispered softly.

“Isn’t that a shape hmmm?” Deidara said as he walked closer more interested in this conversation.

“No, it’s a government building that holds military information,” she answered.

“We could break in, no big deal yeah,” Deidara said excited for a new mission.

Itachi folded his arms in thought. “There is still no point in obtaining the weapon if we can’t get home.”

Madara glared at Itachi through his mask and Itachi continued, “But it will not hurt to check the floor plans and see the place.”

Damn. If…no they couldn’t the US government was strong. They would capture them before they broke in. This was a good thing, Sam told herself.

“Let’s go out to dinner. Tell the others we’re leaving,” Itachi stated as he stood up to get something from his room.

“We’re going out to dinner?” Sam asked confused.

“Pfft, you didn’t think we were just hermits, yeah?” Deidara said as he went to the others.

Sam didn’t know what to think anymore. She had now told the evil organization from a different world about the atomic bomb. Could she be considered a traitor? She pushed her fingers through her hair as guilt overtook her. Tobi got up and pulled out her chair once Deidara left. “You’re going to come to dinner with me, Samantha,” he whispered into her ear.

She shook her head, “I’m pretty sure Itachi said we were all going to go to dinner.”

“Itachi’s not the boss remember,” he said and pulled her up out of the chair.

She tried to pull away, but he was too strong. She then heard him shout, “Tobi is taking Sammy-chan to the Cheesecake Factory! We’ll be back later!”

He then swung her into his arms easily as they heard Deidara shout, “You can’t watch her on your own un!”

But Madara had already left the door and vanished with her. Her head went light headed and she felt ready to throw up. She really wished he’d stop doing that. They appeared in front of a mall as he lightly let her on the ground. That at least was new.

She then heard a click. Wait…she turned to see him taking off his mask. She was finally going to see what he really looked like. She was finally going to see this monster…but still strangely her idols face. She let out a gasp as the mask left his face.

Chapter 3: Red Hair

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Pirate ships were very rare on Syrup Island. Sure, the now-nine-years-old Luffy and Usopp spent all their time talking about them, and how they wanted to be real pirates and go on adventures, but that’s much different from seeing a pirate flag blowing in the wind as a ship landed on your docks.

It was a medium-sized crew that landed. About fifteen or sixteen pirates climbed down onto the dock and marched into the port town. They looked dirty and unorganized. Not to mention they looked starving and very, very tired.

Despite their pathetic appearance, they were still pirates, and the townspeople had every right to be afraid. The streets were cleared as they approached, and they ambled into the local tavern.

“Good day, ma’am.” The captain said.

Makino had mixed emotions as she saw the crew enter her bar. A mixture of confusion, anger, fear, and a bit of sympathy. She wasn’t one for confrontation, and she hated getting involved when bar fights broke out. She hoped the pirates would just fill up on alcohol and get on their way.

She was in no way prepared for pirates. It was a slow day anyway, her only customers being the local prankster brothers, Luffy and Usopp. Usopp had just been telling her a story about he and Luffy once traveled across the seas and fought a giant dinosaur with only their wits about them. But, he instantly shut his mouth when the pirates entered.

“Hello? Are you open?” The captain asked.

Makino hesitated. “Um, y-yes. We’re open. T-take a seat.” She stuttered.

“Don’t mind if we do.” The captain responded. His crew sat at the tables, while he took a seat on a barstool in front of the counter, right next to the seats Luffy and Usopp had taken. “Some ale for me and my crew, please.” He removed his straw hat and put it on the chair next to him.

Well, at least he’s polite. I just hope Luffy and Usopp don’t do anything to make him angry. She thought as she reached for a few bottles of ale.

She could barely make out the words, but she distinctly heard Luffy and Usopp whispering something while she served the pirates their alcohol.

“You have any idea who that is?”

“No, but he looks scary. Maybe we should just leave.”

“Leave? Come on, Usopp. What kind of pirate are you?”

“A smart one, now let’s go.”

“Aw, come on. We need to make sure he doesn’t attack the village.”

“Luffy, Usopp! Shush!” Makino scolded the two boys. “Don’t be rude to our… guests…”

The captain took a sip of his drink and looked down at Luffy. “Why, are they talking about me? You know, you shouldn’t be rude to pirates.” He smiled wickedly. “You have NO idea of what they’re capable of.”

This did it for the boys. They panicked and jumped from their stools, but not before Luffy accidentally knocked the captain’s drink from his hand. Everyone in the bar heard the glass shatter as it hit the ground.

Luffy and Usopp froze. Makino gasped and the captain frowned.

“Aw… That was a good drink, too.” He sighed. “Oh well, what are you going to do?” He said, brushing his red hair out of his eyes. “Well, are you going to clean it up, or not?” He said to Luffy.

Luffy shuddered. “C-c-clean it up?”

“Of course! You made the mess, you should be the one to clean it up.” He turned to Makino. “A wet rag, please ma’am. It makes picking up the glass easier.” She nodded and ran off to get a rag.

Luffy was still shuddering, and Usopp cowered behind him.

“Ha! I was joking about the whole ‘what we’re capable of’ thing!” He laughed. “Easy, little guys. We aren’t here to hurt anyone. Just filling up on some booze and getting some supplies.”

Makino returned with a rag, and handed it to Luffy. He nervously bent down and paused, not knowing what to do.

“Whoa, whoa, easy.” The captain knelt down with him. “Pick up the biggest pieces first, so you don’t cut yourself on them.” He carefully picked up a few large shards of glass and looked up at Makino. “Do you have a garbage bin, ma’am?” She pointed in the direction of the bin, and the captain promptly threw the glass away.

Meanwhile, Luffy wiped up the ale with the rag, along with the smaller bits of glass. He stood up and Makino took the rag from him.

“There we are, all set.” The captain said, grinning. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a silver coin. He set it on the counter and said “Sorry about that, ma’am. Is this enough to pay for a new glass?”

“N-n-no, that’s quite alright. No need to pay me.” She said nervously.

The captain frowned. “Oh, but I insist. I feel terrible about what happened.” He pushed the coin towards her.

The crew finished their ale, got up, pushed their chairs in, attempted to clean the tables as well as they could, but seeing as they were… well, not the brightest ones around when it came to keeping things in order, the tables weren’t exactly spotless.

The captain paid Makino, leaving a much bigger tip than necessary and he and his crew headed out the door, thanking the barmaid for her service.

As they left, they laughed and chatted amongst themselves.

“That must have been the best ale I’ve had in a while!”

“So, Cap’ whadja think of that barmaid? Pretty cute, huh?”

“Aw, Lucky, knock it off.”

“Come on, you should ask her out.”

“Lucky…”

The captain stopped walking. “Hey, guys, I’ll catch up with you. I need to… do something.”

“I knew it! He’s gonna-”

“I’m not asking her out, Lucky.”

A fat man wearing goggles slumped down, dejected, and walked off, shouting “You should!”

The captain laughed nervously, looking at Makino. “Heh, sorry about my crew. They’re a bit… crazy.”

“Is there something else I can help you with, sir?”

“Shanks.”

“Excuse me?”

The captain tipped his straw hat. “My name is Shanks. I just, uh, wanted to tell you that we’re sorta planning on staying here for a little while. Y’see, we just left our old base because the marines were going to attack it, and we didn’t want innocent people getting hurt. I promise you, we’re not like those other pirates.” He assured.

Makino paused. “Oh, I see. Um, thank you for telling me, sir. You don’t really seem like the type who would… um… She trailed off, letting Shanks fill in the blank.

“What, attack you? Steal things? Heh, we don’t do that kind of stuff. We’re pirates, yes, but we’re more about the adventure, rather than the crime.”

There was a brief silence, as Luffy and Usopp watched the two adults talk. They decided it was best to stay quiet while the two of them discussed important things.

It was safe to say that Luffy began to think of this new pirate differently. When Shanks said he was about the adventure, something clicked. Luffy, in his simple mind, found something in common with another pirate, and that made him happy. Usopp, on the other hand, still didn’t know what to make of the red haired man in the doorway.

“Well, I guess I’ll get going now. My crew’s probably waiting for me. Uh, I’ll see you around?” Shanks asked, smiling weakly.

“Um, I guess so. Th-thank you for stopping by.” Makino hesitated.

Shanks walked out the door, clearly thinking about what his crewmate said earlier.

Luffy grinned widely. “Wow… a real pirate…”

“Oi, weren’t you just scared out of your mind a minute ago?” Usopp asked him.

“Yeah, but that was before I learned that he’s all about the adventure.”

Insanity to Kidnap: “When Will It End”

Insanity to Kidnap

Chapter 5: When Will It End

RATED: M   for mature Contains Violence, Slang, and other bull shit

Who was that girl?! Madara walked out of the room that he placed the brunette and her tiny friend in. He stood in the hallway frustrated.

That would require me to change? What the hell did she mean by that. I am not predictable. No one has been able to figure out my plans against Konoha for 60 years. I doubt a little girl can ‘guess,’ Madara thought to himself. He wanted to punch something, and get his anger under control. He had just never dealt with someone who thought he was readable! Every pathetic woman had thought that he was mysterious and strong…never readable!

He remembered when they had first appeared in this god for saken world. He came so close to breaking cover because he had lost to Sasuke’s sharingan. He knew it was his own damn fault for underestimating the boy, but to rip a hole in space and time, it was unheard of for a boy his age. Yes, he had done it himself, but he never thought at the other in of the hole was another world. Sasuke had literally transported them to another world. It was so unbelievable. Madara was angry, but kept in character. He would find a way back to his own world, and he wouldn’t ruin his alias just because of an unexpected turn in his plans.

It had been odd at first….in a world that seemed to create magic. No one here had large chakra supplies, but they had weird weapons invented with technology. He still thought it all was some sort of witchcraft. It was lucky that Kakuzu understood how the world worked quite fast. His money obsession had been good for something after all. He carried at least 50 million yen on his person wherever he went. And by some miracle yen was a currency in this world. They had to exchange it for “dollars” which turned out to be 500 thousand. Kakuzu had been pissed with the exchange rate, but the country they were in really only accepted these dollars.

Kakuzu then focused on finding a place to live with the amount of money they had. Of course, it was a dump in some place they called Maryland. The only problem they had was the lack of identification which was easily solved with bribes.

Madara lifted up his mask quickly and rubbed his hand against his face. To believe they had been in this world for a month. Part of him worried they wouldn’t get back. If that were the case he would have to settle with this world…this technology magic world. He hated it. He hated that they were forced to hide their abilities…however, it made hiding murders a lot easier.

Hidan had killed already 31 people and none had been traced back to him. Some haven’t even been found by this world’s law enforcement who, in his opinion, were pathetic.

Then there was the magic box or television. He remembered what happened when they first saw the little Kyuubi boy on the box. It was strange watching it and it caused him to go into panic. He couldn’t have all the Akatsuki knowing his plan. It would ruin everything. He went to a local library, and found this thing people had been talking about, a ‘computer.’ Kakuzu had mentioned using one here, and that he had just given up because it was too difficult. But Madara kept hearing that ‘the internet’ on the ‘computer’ knows everything. He had to figure it out.

Lucky with his Tobi personality and mask people thought he was a kid. He got help from some book lady who taught him how to use the keyboard and how a search engine worked. Overall, he thought the cursed thing would suck his soul at any moment. But he eventually typed his name into the google thing. And up popped tons of cartoon images of him back when he was younger. Yes, his looks hadn’t changed that much, but it was so weird. He almost fell out of his chair in shock. He read the Wikipedia description of himself…it was creepy. He then found more of these Naruto videos except he was actually in it! He watched every single one. He then read the little cartoon books of him. It was so strange having your life play out in front of you. Everything that he had planed had happened in the story. Except for Pein dying. He didn’t believe Pein would actually lose to the Kyuubi kid, but he had come up with a plan just in case…and the story was describing it to him.

He decided then and there that none of the others could see this. If the other members knew most of them would die they wouldn’t return. If Itachi knew he actually manage to manipulate his little brother he would try to kill him. It would screw up his plans. He searched the google thing more and saw a title Behind the Mask: Only Power and Immortality. He clicked on it. The beginning was obviously false, but the way he was described was true. It wasn’t until he got to parts with him interacting with Deidara he started freaking out. This story was saying everything he thought of the stupid bomber. He kept reading getting a bit disturbed by the Kyuubi’s pink hair girl being his lover, but he had to know how this story knew so much about him. None of this was shown in the show.

He read the author, Kiraseven. He was pissed off. This Kiraseven must have some sort of abilities to read his mind. He was sure. He clicked on the other stories. And again, they were strangely accurate to what he would say, or how he would act. He did like her story about him destroying Konoha. He had to give her credit for that. But seriously someone shouldn’t know him this well. The only way he had lived this long was because he kept everything about him a secret. He had to find this person.

It took a week, but he eventually found some type of wizard that was good with computers and the Internet. He paid him to give him this Kiraseven’s address. It was easy then to find Samantha Devin of Washington, DC. She didn’t live that far away from him, which he was thankful for. He spied on the brunette girl for days watching her routines. He tried to see if there was anything special about her, but she was just average. Her chakra levels seemed relatively normal. Her daily life was normal. She was normal. He didn’t get it. How could a pathetic girl know so much about him? He decided to just kill her. If there was nothing special about her, he might as well get rid of her.

So he had caught her when she was alone…and she wasn’t average. Everything that came out of her mouth seemed unique to her. And again he felt like she was reading his mind!

Madara put his mask back on and banged his head against the wall. This girl was so irritating! Why couldn’t she just admit that she had some sort of power? Instead of saying he was readable! He took a deep breath and walked out into the living room seeing the bomber sitting on the couch with Hidan and Kisame. Itachi was sitting in the dinning room reading a book he bought.

“Tobi put them in the room,” he said with fake cheer. He felt anything, but happy right now.

Kisame looked up at him then back at Itachi, “So again what’s with the kids?”

Itachi glanced up from his book, “The one girl, named Sam, was going to teach us about her world…since none of us seem to quite understand the magic behind their technology.”

“What about shorty?” Kisame asked.

Itachi went quiet before responding, “We don’t need her. The only reason she was brought back is because Deidara can’t do a mission correctly.”

Deidara stood and pointed his finger at Itachi, “You try dealing with that brunette bitch, yeah! It’s always a fight with her or an escape plan un.”

“She has no chakra. It can’t be hard to control her,” Itachi stared blankly at the bomber.

“I can use the little shit for my next sacrifice. I need a child, and children are fucking hard to find,” Hidan interrupted.

“She’s not a child you moron, yeah,” Deidara said crossing his arms over his chest.

“Fuck you! She looks like motherfucking eight year old,” Hidan said standing up himself.

“Don’t kill the midget,” Tobi shouted. Samantha’s friend was about the only control she had over the girl right now. If she was dead she was probably be more disobedient.

“We can’t kill her,” Itachi said after Madara, quieting the two.

“Why not un?” Deidara asked.

“We can use the friend as leverage. Besides she could help us learn about this world too,” Itachi said going back to his reading.

Kisame snickered, “Well it will be nice to have some girls around at least.”

“They won’t even touch you, hmm” Deidara said.

Kisame chuckled to himself, “I don’t know, the only people they seem to have a grudge against it you and Tobi.”

“For your information, I found out she likes men with mouths on their hand yeah,” Deidara had a cocky smile on his face.

Kisame was about to interject when Itachi said, “Be quiet. I’m attempting to read.”

“Again your not the fucking boss around here you bastard,” Hidan shouted, “Go to your room if you want to read.”

The door unlocked and Kakuzu walked in wearing a strange scarf over his face to cover his stitches. “Hidan, I can here you from the parking lot. Are you trying to get us kicked out?” Kakuzu glared at him.

“Like I fucking give a shit,” Hidan said back.

“The landlord likes us. I will not get on Bill’s bad side because of you,” Kakuzu stated.

Madara just rolled his eyes. It was always fighting with these guys. “Tobi doesn’t like the loud noises he just wants to watch the magic box,” he said sitting on the floor to the TV.

“Tobi’s right for once. This is my show, be quiet,” Kisame said with an unsettling glare.

Hidan just stomped his foot in frustration and walked off to his room while the others quieted down.

Madara inwardly sighed. If they were in the ninja world he would at least be able to send them all off in missions. Now, he had to deal with every single one of them.

Sam opened her eyes noticing Elyse laying on top of her. They had fallen asleep on the floor. Sam let out a small grunt as she tried to move a bit. The pain in her gut had softened, but still hurt while the side of her face screamed in agony. She didn’t realize the pain continued long after the attack.

She looked at the window seeing a glisten of sunlight sneaking through the shades. How she managed to sleep all night she didn’t know.

“Window,” she whispered to herself then nudged the sleeping Elyse.

“Mmmm,” Elyse whined not moving.

“Elyse, wake up,” Sam said.

Elyse shook her head and let out an irritated whine again. Gah why did her roommate have to be so addicted to sleep? “Elyse! Wake up!” Sam said loudly then tried to forcefully push Elyse off of her. It caused Sam’s sides to scream in pain, but she ignored it, watching her roommate fall on the ground.

“I’m awake,” she mumbled against the floor.

Sam used the wall to support herself up. “There’s a window. Maybe, we can jump out.”

Elyse rubbed her eyes then looked at her and gasped, “Sam, your face!”

Sam looked at her puzzled, “Is it really that bad?”

“Oh my gosh. The whole left side of your face is bruised,” she said shock.

“I’m not surprise I can feel it,” she mumbled. Sam then walked over to the shades and pulled them up. Elyse covered her eyes from the light. Sam looked down. It was a far way down with no fire escape. “Shit,” she said quietly.

“What?” Elyse asked.

“It’s a long ways,” Sam turned and looked around the room. She looked over to the bed, “We can try tying the sheets together.”

“Like in the movies. You actually think that will work,” Elyse asked doubtful.

“Might as well try,” Sam said pulling off the sheets. She tossed Elyse part of the sheet, “Roll it up.”

Elyse nodded and began rolling her sheet up. “So Sam, can you tell me about these people, or are you just going to leave me in the dark,” she said.

“These are all people from the evil organization in the series I watch. There are ten of them total, but only six are here. The man who did this to me,” Sam said pointing to her face, “is the true leader. His real name is Uchiha Madara. He can bend time around him. He also can manipulate images with his eye. Itachi, who was the dark long hair man, has similar powers. However, he is much more forgiving even if he appears scary and indifferent. Kisame looks similar to a shark. He is an excellent swordsman and can control water. Hidan is the cursing man who crashed into you. He’s immortal and gained this ability through sacrifices. He enjoys pain. Deidara, the blonde who picked us up, can make explosive with just the mouths on his hands. The last one, who you haven’t met, is Kakuzu. He has five hearts and can control all elements.”

Elyse just stared, “Can they really use those abilities?”

“You saw the clay bird. I’m pretty sure they can,” Sam answered.

Elyse just frowned, “And why the hell do they want you?”

“I don’t fully get it, but obviously Madara is pissed with the fanfictions I wrote about him,” Sam answered tying two of the sheets together.

“You wrote fanfictions about him! He’s evil!” Elyse shouted shock.

Sam just smirked, “I prefer the villains, remember…I just never thought I would ever actually meet him.”

“Of course you choose the person who is most likely to kill us to write about,” Elyse grumbled as she tied the other end of the sheet to another.

Sam looked down at the long rope they had created. She then tied it to the bed, “You think that’s tight enough?”

Elyse paled, “Are we really doing this?”

“I don’t really want to experience another beating,” Sam said walking over to the window. She pushed open the window and heard the birds singing outside. It was such a nice sunny day…too bad it didn’t feel like it. She grabbed the sheet rope and tossed it out the window. Sam looked down. It didn’t reach the ground completely, but she could jump it.

“So do you want to go first,” Sam said to her roommate.

“Uhhhh no,” Elyse back away.

Sam looked down again. It was really high. Her heart went into panic. She hated heights. She just imagined what would happen if she fell. She took in a deep breath, “Okay, make sure it doesn’t come undone.”

She swung her legs out of the window. Her breathing got faster. She looked at Elyse, “Please don’t let me fall.”

Elyse nodded, “I’ll try my best, but I am small.”

Sam just rolled her eyes, “Did you have to say that now.”

Elyse smiled apologetically, “Sorry.”

Sam took another deep breath then started climbing down. She felt the cloth stretch. Sam shouted up, “Elyse! Is it tied!?”

“Yeah you’re fine!” she shouted back.

Sam chewed her bottom lip in fear as she slid a bit further down. I can’t look down, she thought to herself. She slowly moved.

“Sam, you down?” Elyse shouted.

“No, it’s going to take me awhile,” she sniped back a bit irritated and scared by the height. She heard a door slam from above. Shit.

“Get away from there,” she heard Madara tell Elyse. Damn it. She started to crawl down faster. Why did it have to be so high?

“Samantha, trying to escape again? Tsk. Tsk,” she heard him say down to her. She took a brave look upwards seeing his stupid mask. She had to get down.

He then went back in, and she let out a sigh of relief, even though she knew it couldn’t be that easy.

The sheets of rope went slack as she fell a few feet with the rope. She let out a scream expecting to fall the whole way. The rope tightened again, and she gripped tighter on to it.

“No, don’t untie it!” she heard Elyse shouting.

Sam’s breath was caught in her throat. She didn’t want to fall! She looked up to see Madara holding her sheet rope in his hands. “You should of thought this through more,” he said shaking his head then began pulling her up with the rope.

Damn it. Why did every one of her plans fail? Well at least she wasn’t going to die from a fall. She grumbled a bit in irritation as she got closer to the mask man. She settled with glaring at him.

“Samantha, if you’re going to act that way I have no reason to pull you up,” Madara said holding his hand out the window.

Sam’s eyes went wide then she looked away. She heard Madara snicker, “Do I get a thank you.”

“I feel like crap so no,” she answered to herself.

Madara stopped pulling the rope and shook his head. “Oh Sam, wrong answer,” he said then let go.

“Sam!!” Elyse shouted.

Sam’s eye went huge as she felt herself fall backwards. She looked back at the ground quickly approaching her. She let out a scream. She hated height. She always did. Maybe, it was her subconscious knowing she would die from a fall. Oh god this is going to hurt. She closed her eyes tightly. She wondered why her life wasn’t flashing before her eyes as she felt the wind push against her. Maybe, that was always a myth. She held her breath in panic as her heart race. Please heart, keep working after I hit the ground, she thought. It would be less then a second now. She squeezed her eyes tighter as her body tensed up for the incoming pain.

It never came. She felt something catch her and lighten the impact. She opened her eyes slowly thinking death must not be painful to see the orange mask. Damn him!!!! “Let go of me!” she squirmed in his arms.

“Again, no thank you. Are all girls as rude as you?” he asked.

“You almost killed me!!!” she shouted.

In a mere second, they were back in the room. Her head felt light. It would take awhile to get used to that. He let go of her and she hit the ground hard.

“Sam, y-you’re alive,” her roommate whimpered.

Sam glared at the orange mask, “The bastard just get’s pleasure out of fear and pain.”

“Your scream was nice to here,” he said causally.

She was about to respond, but then he shouted, “ITACHI SAN!! THE GIRLS ATTEMPTED TO ESCAPED!”

Itachi immediately opened the door. He looked at the ground seeing part of the sheet that was still tied to the bed. “Hn, come with me,” he said looking at both girls.

Sam let out a hiss in pain as she stood up to follow. Elyse came right after her whispering, “Not your best plan.”

“It was a plan at least,” she whispered back. Itachi pointed to the dining room table for them to sit. They did as they were told.

Deidara walked in while Kisame turned around from the couch to see what was happening.

“Sam, your actions will not be tolerated anymore,” Itachi stated to her.

“You can’t expect a person whose been kidnap to just set back and do nothing,” Sam protested.

Itachi nodded to Deidara who walked up from behind Elyse and grabbed her roomate’s small hands. With a quick jerk he broke her finger. Elyse let out a ear shattering scream. Sam gasped, “What are you doing to her!!!”

Tears began falling down her friend’s face as she cried in pain. Itachi and the others just stood unaffected, “If you continue this behavior, your friend will be punished a lot worst then a broken finger.”

“You can’t! She has nothing to do with this!” Sam slammed her hands into the table.

“You made her apart of it,” Itachi said, “Kisame, take the little one back to the room, and watch her.”

Elyse just continued to cry holding her hand close to her. She shook her head in protest. Kisame grunted and walked over to the table. He swung the girl over his shoulder easily causing Elyse to cry more.

“Stop! Itachi, just let her leave. I’ll obey. Just let her go!” Sam said through a strain voice.

“No, she is our security now,” Itachi said, “Now, I have some question for you.”

Sam felt the edge of her eyes were wet. This was horrible. What had she done to Elyse?!

“Sam,” Itachi said making her look at him. Sam just nodded obediently waiting for the questions.___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Eyes of a Sage III: Preparations

Need to catch up? Chapter 1 Chapter 2

(Recap: Danzou and Sai Uchiha were introduced after Kataki attacked them.  Danzou began to tell Kataki and the KusaKage his and Sai’s past…)

“Let’s head out, Sai.  If we don’t leave soon, we’ll be late to the… thing.” Danzou said.  He had almost given away there special meeting with a Cloud Shinobi…

“Okay.  But, you got off lucky.  If we ever meet again, you won’t leave alive.”  The KusaKage had a look of pure terror in his eyes.  No one had ever tried to kill him before.  Well, no one had ever actually almost succeeded…

As they left, all of the Grass Ninja looked on in amazement and terror as Danzou and Sai had just single-handedly beat the KusaKage and Kataki!  That was a feat no one in the Grass could and never would accomplish…

After 2 hours…

“We’re almost there, Sai.  Are you ready?” said Danzou.

“Yeah, it’s just a meeting.  What could go wrong?”

“Many things.  The shinobi we’re meeting could have someone spying on him.  He could attack us.  The possibilities are endless.”

“Okay.  I guess I’ll keep my eye on him.  If anyone gets hurt, it should be me” Sai said.

“Don’t say that!  Your life is just as valuable as mine!”  Danzou felt hurt.  He had never known Sai felt that way…

Somewhere in the Sound Village…

“Are you ready for our journey to the Cloud Village?” Sasuke asked the rest of his team…

“Whatever.  It’s not like these Uchiha’s will be very strong.” Suigetsu remarked.  He thought way too much of himself…

“Suigetsu!  Don’t disgrace the Uchiha’s!!  Sasuke is one of them!!!” Karin screamed.  No one was allowed to disgrace anyone related to Sasuke as long as she was around…

“Suigetsu. Karin.  Please stop bickering.  It’s making my impulses try to break loose.  I can only suppress them for so long.”  Jugo was the only one of the three not disturbing Sasuke.  Sasuke would never admit that though…

“Alright.  It’s time.”  Sasuke put on his Akatsuki Cloak and began to walk out of the hideout.  He knew that even if he made no noise, Madara would still know Taka had left…

As they departed, Madara glared at Sasuke with his Sharingan.  Sasuke couldn’t see him, because he was using one of his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan Jutsu.  Sasuke was leaving the hideout without permission.  He would pay once Madara knew what he was up to…

At Unraikyo…

“He’s here.  Come out shinobi!” Danzou called.

As he called, a short ebony skinned shinobi stepped out of the shadows…

“Sorry, I was hiding to make sure no one would see I was here.  It’s illegal to see anyone from another country.  Ever since… that mission.  No one has forgiven each other.  Ever since the  Fourth Raikage was killed on the mission, if anyone met with another countries ninja, they were put to death.  Well, what was it you need to speak with me about?”

“We need to talk about  the Kage Summit.  I know you’re one of the people that agreed with me.  So, I need to know why you think we should have another one.  Also, even though I doubt you will, if you lie about any of what you tell us, my brother will sense it.” Danzou told the man.

“Well…” the ninja began…

An hour later…

“Thank you for your opinion.  We must be going.” Danzou said.

“Okay.  Have a safe trip back t wherever you’re from.”

In the boundary between the Sound and Lightning Countries…

“Sai.  Stay where you are.  There’s someone here.” Danzou warned.  Something was wrong…
